5. THE SONG OF THE COMPANY OF HEAVEN.

(Revelation 4. 8, 11; 5. 9/, 13)

HOLY, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty: who was, and who is, and who is to come.
Our Lord and our God! you are worthy: to receive glory and honour and power.
For you created all things: and by your will they were given existence and life.
You are Worthy, Lord Jesus, Lamb of God: the first, and the last, and the living one!
For you were killed, and by your death you bought men for God: from every tribe and language and people and nation.
You have made them a kingdom of priests to serve our God: and they shall rule on earth.
The Lamb who was killed is worthy: to receive power, wealth, wisdom and strength, honour, glory and praise!
To him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb: be praise and honour, glory and might, for ever and ever. Amen.

OR

6. THE SONG OF THE HUMILITY OF CHRIST.

Philippians 2. 5-11

IN your minds you must be the same as Christ Jesus: his was the very nature of God.
But he did not think that by force: he should try to become equal with God.
Instead, of his own free will he gave it all up: and took the nature of a servant.
He became like man: he appeared in human likeness.
He was humble and walked the path of obedience to death: his death on the cross.
For this reason God raised him to the highest place above: and gave him the name that is greater than any other name.
So that, in honour of the name of Jesus: all beings in heaven and on earth will fall on their knees.
And all will openly proclaim that Jesus Christ is the Lord: to the glory of God the Father.

OR

7. HOW GREAT AND WONDERFUL.

Revelation 15. 3f

HOW great and wonderful are all your works: Lord God Almighty.
Just and true are all your ways: King of the nations.
Who would not fear and praise your name, O Lord: you alone are holy.
All the nations will come and worship you: for the many acts of justice you have shown.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning is now and always shall be: for ever and ever. Amen.

OR

8. SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD.

SAVIOUR of the world, the Son, Lord Jesus: stir up your strength and help us, we humbly pray.
By your cross and precious blood you have redeemed us: save us and help us, we humbly pray.
You saved your disciples when ready to perish: hear us and save us, we humbly pray.
Let your pity and great mercy: loose us from our sins, we humbly pray.
Show that you are our Saviour and strong deliverer: save us that we may praise you, we humbly pray.
Come near as you promised from your glorious throne: hear our crying, we humbly pray.
Come again and stay with us, Lord Jesus Christ: stay with us for ever, we humbly pray.
And when you come again with power and great glory: make us like yourself in your glorious kingdom.
Thanks be to you, O Lord: Alleluia! Amen.

9. THE EASTER ANTHEM.

1 Cor. 5.7; 15.20; Rom. 6.9

CHRIST our passover is sacrificed for us: therefore let us keep the feast;
Not with the old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness: but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Christ being raised from the dead dies no more: death has no more dominion over him.
For in that he died, he died to sin just once: but in that he lives, he lives to God.
Likewise reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin: but alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Christ is risen from the dead: and become the flrstfruits of them that slept.
For since by man came death: by man came also the resurrection from the dead.
For as in Adam all die: even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son: and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and always shall be: for ever and ever. Amen.

Amen.

LORD, our heavenly Father, Almighty and everlasting God, you have safely brought us to the beginning of this day, keep us in the same with your mighty power, let us not fall this day into any sin, nor run into any kind of danger, but let all we do be ruled by you to do always what is right in your sight, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

ETERNAL God and Father, by your power we are created and by your love we are redeemed: Guide and strengthen us by your Spirit, that we may give ourselves to your service, and live this day in love to one another and to you; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

ETERNAL Father, shed your light on us who watch for you, that our lips may praise you, our hearts bless you and our lives glorify you; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

FATHER, we thank you for bringing us to the beginning of another day. Help us through your Holy Spirit so that we may not fall into sin, but may do everything for your sake and in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

THE GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship with the Holy Spirit be with us all for ever. Amen.
