Now that you have had a chance to learn a bit about the upcoming Lambeth conference in 1998, here are a few links to other online resources which I thought you may find helpful.

Most of these links will take you outside of the Anglicans Online! website. I thought you would find it more convenience to have them in one place than to go hunting on your own.

The first place to start your "journey outside" may be the Church of England's official website. Like to learn more about the Archbishop of Canterbury? Here are a number of items you may find interesting:

Perhaps you'd like to join a discussion group about Anglicanism? There are a number of Internet mailing lists, including CANANG-L. Though primarily for Canadian Anglicans, this list is an excellent place to discuss issues such as the upcoming Lambeth conference, issues in the church, etc. To join, send e-mail to listserv@pdomain.uwindsor.ca and put the words subscribe canang-l [your name] in the body of the message.

If you'd like a discussion group with a wider audience (and hence more messages each day), the ANGLICAN list offers informal chat and discussions about Anglican/Episcopal issues. It has about 800 subscribers with a volume of about 80 messages per day. To join, send a message to listserv@american.edu and type subscribe anglican in the body of the message. (You may prefer to just review the archives of this list, instead of subscribe to it.)

As Lambeth's past is rich with tradition and history, you may enjoy joining the Ecclesiastical History mailing list, a discussion group for scholars, students and others interested in church history, the history of christianity, and/or historical theology. About 350 people take part in this list. To join them, send a message to listserv@bgu.edu and type subscribe ecchst-l [your name] in the body of your message.

If you prefer Usenet newsgroups, you may find interesting discussion in the soc.religion.christian newsgroup.

And, of course, if you haven't found Anglicans Online! yet, please do drop by.

That's it! Thanks for visiting the Anglicans Online! Lambeth 1998 Information Centre. I hope you found the material online interesting and helpful. I'd love to hear your comments about this site and suggestions for improvements. My e-mail address is tod@anglican.ca
