Choral Evensong on SUNDAY 19 SEPTEMBER 2010 at 3.30pm
will see the installation of two new priests at the cathedral.
The Revd Aisling Shine will be installed as twelfth canon,
and the Revd Garth Bunting will be installed as a new
residential priest vicar. All are most welcome to attend.
Music will include Shephard, Preces and responses, the
rhythmic Mathias, 'Jesus College Service' and the evocative
anthem by Moore, 'All wisdom cometh from the Lord'.

Aisling is currently working in Drumcondra North Strand
and was previously based in Clondalkin and Rathcoole parish.
She was ordained to the diaconate in 2003 and the priesthood
in 2004. As a nurse she served in the Mater and Rotunda
hospitals and is married with two adult daughters.

Garth is a native of Donaghadee in county Down where he was
ordained deacon in 1999 and priest in 2000. He served as
curate-assistant in the Parish of Clooney with Strathfoyle until
2002, then as incumbent in the Grouped Parishes of Leckpatrick
and Dunnalong, both placements in the diocese of Derry and Raphoe.
Appointed to Belfast: Upper Malone in Connor diocese in 2006, he
united the parish with Belfast: Finaghy in 2009. He has just completed
an MA in Applied Christian Spirituality at the Milltown Institute in
Dublin, which will serve him well in establishing a new outreach
ministry in the cathedral and the diocese.
