Dear all

I'm attaching the final version of the application pack. I've included salient bits of the manifesto, to keep it simple. I hope it all works and makes sense.

DO PLEASE CIRCULATE TO ANYONE YOU CAN THINK OF who might be interested.

With many thanks for all your help and advice -

Giles

Applications are invited for phase 1 of the Synod 2015 Campaign coordination project: 15 days from January to March 2014.

The campaign aims to create a common platform for the most favourable circumstances for the election of laity to Deanery and General Synods who will represent the will of the majority of people in the Church of England for inclusion, opposed to discrimination.

The campaign will focus on the widest sense of inclusion, working to challenge discrimination on the basis of ethnicity, disability and poverty as well as gender and sexuality.

The campaign is led by organisations in the Church of England, working together against discrimination: Inclusive Church, WATCH (London), Group for Rescinding the Act of Synod, Modern Church, Changing Attitude, Affirming Catholicism, Society of Catholic Priests and the Lesbian and Gay Fellowship of Gay Christians - in association with WATCH (National), National Association of Deans of Women’s Ministry, DARC.

To be considered for the project please send your CV accompanied by a Supporting Statement no longer than 2 sides of A4 (no smaller than 12pt type).

Please also send the name of two referees, neither of whom should be related to you or live at the same address. One of your referees should be your present or most recent employer.

Applications should be received by 5pm on Tuesday 23rd December. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in London on the afternoon of Wednesday 8th January.

Applications can be submitted electronically. If you are shortlisted we will also require a paper copy at the interview.

The appointment will be on a consultancy basis. Reasonable travel and materials expenses will be paid, as well as reasonable office accommodation costs if required.
