Wednesday 4 August 2010 - Organ Recital (13.15)
Daniel Battle, Director of Music and Organist for All Saints
Parish Church in Carshalton, Surrey, will be giving an organ
recital in Christ Church on Wednesday 4 August 2010 at 1.15pm.
A former organ scholar at Bangor Cathedral and Southwell Minster,
Daniel has performed in St Nicholas’ Church in Prague, the Chiesa
del Redentore in Venice, and for a service at St Mark’s Basilica
in Venice. His recital will include J.S. Bach's 'Prelude in G',
George Thalben-Ball's 'Elegy' and 'Pièce Héroïque from
Trois Pièces' by César Franck. Entrance into the concert is
included in admission to the cathedral. For details online see:

Saturday 7 August 2010 - Evening Organ Concert (19.30)
Carlo Curley, one of the world's foremost concert organists,
'the Pavarotti of the organ', will perform an organ recital at
Christ Church cathedral in Dublin on Saturday 7 August 2010
at 7.30pm. His programme will include works by J.S. Bach,
Beethoven, Bonnet, Bull, Buxtehude, Dvořák, Lindblad, Mozart,
Perry, Stanley (arr. Thalben-Ball), and Walford Davies. This
concert is intended to raise funds for the cathedral's music
programme. Tickets are available from the cathedral at by ringing

anthem by a former organ scholar of All Saints', Northampton,

A guided tour by Dr Michael O'Neill as part of Heritage Week.
The tour will look at the Medieval & Victorian Architecture of
Christ Church Cathedral. All tours in Heritage Week will operate
on a first come, first served basis. The usual entrance charges
will apply.

Tuesday 24 August 2010 - Heritage Tour (11.00)
As part of Heritage week, a guided tour of the cathedral will
be given by a member of staff at 11.00. All are most welcome.

Tuesday 24 August 2010 - Tour of Stained Glass (13.15)
A guided tour by Mrs Lesley Whiteside as part of Heritage Week.
The tour will look at the stained glass of Christ Church Cathedral.
People are encouraged to bring binoculars. All tours in Heritage
Week will operate on a first come, first served basis. The usual
entrance charges will apply.

As part of Heritage week, a guided tour of the cathedral will
be given by a member of staff at 11.00. All are most welcome.

Wednesday 25 August 2010 - Tour of Cathedral (13.15)
A guided tour by Dr Kenneth Milne as part of Heritage Week.
The tour will encompass the history and architecture of Christ
Church Cathedral. All tours in Heritage Week will operate on
a first come, first served basis. The usual entrance charges
will apply.

Sung by the Rawstorne Singers. Music will include and
introit by Rutter 'I will sing with the spirit', Rose, Preces

A guided tour by Dr Raymond Refausse as part of Heritage Week.
The tour will examine the manuscripts in Christ Church Cathedral.
All tours in Heritage Week will operate on a first come, first served

Sung by the Rawstorne Singers. Music will include introit by
Caple 'An Evening Prayer', Ayleward 'Preces and responses',

Friday 27 August 2010 - Heritage Tour (15.30)
A guided tour of the belfry by Mr Leslie Taylor as part of
Heritage Week. This tour is not suitable for children or the
infirm, and numbers are limited. All tours in Heritage Week
will operate on a first come, first served basis. The usual
entrance charges will apply.

Sung by the Rawstorne Singers. Music to include an
