This concert has unfortunately been postponed due to adverse weather

Sunday 5 December 2010 - Psalm-shaped Book Launch (12.30)
Following the 11.00 Eucharist on Sunday 5 December 2010 at
coffee in the crypt, the launch of the latest book by Margaret Daly-Denton
will take place. The speaker will be Canon Dr John Bartlett, former
precentor of the cathedral and an emeritus fellow of Trinity College
Dublin. The book is entitled 'Psalm-Shaped Prayerfulness: a guide
to the Christian reception of the psalms. All are most welcome.

Sunday 5 December 2010 - Choral Evensong and Remembrance (15.30)
Responded to a request from the New Zealand Ireland Association the cathedral
invites New Zealanders living in Ireland to come together in prayer during the
service of Choral Evensong on Sunday 5 December at 3.30pm in the wake of the
loss of twenty-nine lives in the recent Pike River mining tragedy. Members of the
Association and New Zealand diplomatic representatives will attend during which
there will be an address given by Fr Brian O’Connell S.M., a priest from the
South Island. A book of condolence is available for signing in the cathedral.

Thursday 9 December 2010 – Concert: Trinity Orchestra (20.00)
Rescheduled from Wednesday 1 December, this will be the Trinity Orchestra
Michaelmas Term Concert conducted by Liam Ryan, with violin solo by
Colm O'Braoin. Programme: Franck, Symphony in D minor; Shostakovich,
Violin Concerto No. 1; Dukas - Brass Fanfare from La Péri.
Tickets: €15 for adults, €5 for students (available at the door).

The Eastern District of the Irish Association of Change Ringers will hold
their practise in the tower of Christ Church on Saturday 11 December from
2.00 until 4.00pm. Come along and enjoy some expert change ringing.

Join the choirs for Christ Church Cathedral for carols and festive fun.
