Thursday 1 November - Eucharist (18.00)
An All Saints' Day Eucharist will be celebrated at the cathedral
at 6.00pm. Sung by the cathedral choir, the eucharist setting is
Victoria 'Missa Gaudeamus' and communion motet, Byrd
'Beati mundo corde'. All most welcome.

Sunday 4 November - Citizenship Service (15.30)
The annual Citizenship Service, which took place in the
Pro-Cathedral for the first time last year, returns to Christ Church
this year. The preacher will be Archbishop Diarmuid Martin.

Saturday 10 November - Historical Society Meeting (10.30)
The Church of Ireland Historical Society will hold their bi-annual
meeting at Christ Church. There will be research papers on
J.H. Todd by the Revd Patricia Hanna, and on J.H. Bernard
by the Very Revd Dr Robert MacCarthy, while two full length
papers will be given by Ian d'Alton on the Church of Ireland
and the dogma of the Assumption in 1950, and by David Hayton
on Eighteenth-century Irish parliamentary legislation affecting

The Hibernian Orchestra will give a concert on Saturday 17 November
at 8.00pm, with conductor and soloist, John Finucane.
The programme will include Gustav Mahler, 'Blumine' (Andante
Allegretto) from Symphony No. 1 in D, Carl Maria Von Weber
'Clarinet Concerto No. 1 in F Minor' and Beethoven 'Symphony
No. 3 in E Flat 'Eroica'. Tickets: 15 (concessions 12).

Saturday 24 November - Mornington Singers Concert (20.00)
The Mornington Singers will give a concert in the cathedral on
Saturday 24 November at 8.00pm entitled: 'Consider my calling:
Response to War'. The programme will include Parry 'Songs of
Farewell (1, 3, 4 and 6)', Britten 'Hymn to St Cecilia', Poulenc
'Un Soir de Neige', and Tippett 'Five Spirituals from 'A Child of
our Time''. The conductor is Orla Flanagan. 25% of the proceeds
of this concert will be used to support Trócaire's work in areas
