The Personal Computer has revolutionized modern life including the life of blind people. In addition to its standard use as a word processor for standard text and for Braille, recent developments in Speech Recognition software is promising great benefits to visually impaired people. It is our plan to follow up those developments and expose our students to them, in order to  benefit from all the recent achievements of our modern age.

We are currently offering a course teaching visually impaired individuals to use a screen reader to work with Microsoft Word for word processing, Microsoft Outlook for email, and Internet Explorer for browsing the web, in addition to basic training in Voice recognition software.

We also offer our students a short training course teaching them to use reading machines, and those who can are also taught to use the CCTV.

Key Benefits

  • The ability to use the computer as a word processor
  • Learning to use the computer as a text reader
  • Learning to dictate to the computer and control it by voice commands
  • Learning to use Reading Machines
  • Learning to use CCTV
