Baptism of Children at Morning or Evening Prayer

When appropriate, the service of Morning Prayer or Evening Prayer may be abbreviated. The Prayers of Penitence may be omitted, and the Creed is omitted, being replaced by one of the interrogatory forms provided in the service for Holy Baptism.

The service follows this order (the headings refer to the parts of the service for Holy Baptism). Alternative positions are indicated in italics.

Morning or Evening Prayer from the canticle after the second reading to the end of the service, omitting the Apostles' Creed. At the prayers, appropriate intercessions from the service for Holy Baptism may be used.
