returns to the holy table and adds more, saying these

Father, having given thanks over the bread
and the cup |

according to the institution of your Son
Jesus Christ,
who said, |

'Take, eat; this is my body' |
|
|
[and/or 'Drink this; this is my
blood'], |

we pray that by the power of your Holy
Spirit |
|
|
this bread/wine also |
|
|
may be to us his body/blood, |
|
|
to be received in remembrance of him. |
