    And now we give you thanks
    because in his victory over the grave a new age has dawned,
    the long reign of sin is ended,
    a broken world is being renewed
    and humanity is once again made whole.

    And now we give you thanks
    because through him you have given us eternal life
    and delivered us from the bondage of sin
          and the fear of death
    into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

    The God of peace,
    who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus,
          that great shepherd of the sheep,
