Dear All

Following Andrew Dotchin's suggestion here is a synopsis of the work. It has
14 session units as follows, each of which has the same structure as outlined
in my previous note: viz:

>From the Sources
Introduction
Survey
Information
REflections
Further Readings

The 14 units are devoted to:

Francis, Clare and the Franciscan Family

Witnesses of the Incarnation

Travelling the Gospel Way: Moving toward the Kingdom in the Church

The Franciscan Mission

To be Formed into Jesus Christ

The Franciscan Evangelist: A Prayerful Missionary

Franciscan Presence and Dialogue: Living with Diversity in a Pluralistic
Society

Peace-Making in a Culture of Violence

Inculturation in a Franciscan Perspective

The Economy and Global Reality from a Franciscan Perspective

Relating as Franciscan Women and Men of Faith

Brother Sun and sister Moon: A Franciscan View of the Environment

The Continuing Franciscan Task in the Church

Altogether a wide ranging and valuable resource. The material provided for
Reflections is wide-ranging. for instance in the session "Moving toward the
Kingdom in the Church" it is a short story by John Updike, with some good and
pertinent questions to guide our reflections on the story in the context of the
unit.

In the right hands this could be used to arrange a whole programme of
sessions for a Local Group ( or even an Area). It could also be used for personal
reflection on the Franciscan Way. Its pedigree is an assurance of its
intellectual credibility.
