Amici --

Many, many thanks to all who have written in response to my announcement of 
Keith's death. William called again at suppertime. He's exhausted, 
confused, blitzed, and dazed, and I know from experience with my own 
parents' deaths that this state of affairs will continue for awhile. 
Fortunately, he's on marvellous terms with Keith's mother (who lives here), 
and we're here when he needs to crash. I told him about all the prayers 
arising for him, and he was delighted in a foggy sort of way. Keep praying; 
it means a lot to him. I still remember how *busy* dealing with a death is, 
coupled with incessant and bewildering long pauses.

I finished the first shawl on my warp and I'm on to the second. FYI, the 
person who first said "It'll all come out in the wash" was a weaver. It does.
