Hello All ...

I apologize for not writing individually, but please understand!

I wanted to say thank you for your prayers. Michael arrived safely in Pittsburgh and at 9:00 a.m. was taken into the Operating Room ... and mid-afternoon I received a call from his nurse that the liver was too small and couldn't be transplanted. 

He was, understandably, devastated. In fact, we all are having a very hard time coming to terms with the disappointment -- after the elation and anxiety of the morning! So He will stay in Pittsburgh for a few days in the hope that a new liver will become available very soon. Should it not, he will return to N.C. to wait for a summons to come again.

I have had a discussion with another transplant patient who tells me she had to make three trips to the Transplant Center in Pittsburgh only to learn that the livers were not "right" -- (too small, too large, etc.) and then the fourth liver was just fine. That was sixteen years ago.!. Certainly a testimony to the grace of God.

Anyway, thanks again for your prayers, and I will appreciate your continuing to pray for us. I will let you know as soon as we hear that another liver has become available for him.
