minorités d'Orient, qui œuvre pour la sécurité des minorités religieuses,
condamne avec la plus grande fermeté toute destruction publique de textes
sacrés, qu’il s’agisse du Koran, de la Bible, la Torah, et d’autres écritures
considérées comme saintes par des communautés religieuses. De tels gestes n’ont
aucune place dans le monde actuel.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Un projet particulier de
destruction de textes est apparemment envisagé pour le 11 septembre par des
soi-disant chrétiens en Floride. L’AEMO demande à toute personne de bonne
volonté d’intervenir dans la mesure du possible pour empêcher un tel acte de
folie, qui ne fera qu’attiser la violence intercommunautaire. Les chrétiens
dans les pays à majorité musulmane seront particulièrement vulnérables à des
représailles. Si des églises ou des Bibles sont incendiées, des personnes
chrétiennes attaquées ou assassinées, non seulement l’AEMO mais le monde entier

for the security of religious minorities in the Middle East, condemns in the
strongest terms any public destruction of sacred texts, whether they be the
Quran, the Bible, the Torah, or any other writings considered sacred by a community
of faith. Such gestures have no place in the modern world.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt;mso-ansi-language:
EN-US">One such project is apparently programmed for September 11, by so-called
Christians in Florida. The Association asks all people of good will to do all
in their power to intervene to stop such an act of madness, which will only serve
to increase violence. Those Christians dwelling in countries that are in the
majority Muslim are especially vulnerable to reprisals. If churches or Bibles
are burned, if Christians are attacked or murdered, not only our Association
