Dear All,

I am pleased to announce that the Vestry of St. Augustine of Canterbury, Wiesbaden, has elected the Rev. Tony Litwinski as Rector.

Fr Litwinski, a former Roman Catholic priest, became an Episcopalian and worked as Canon Bursar at Grace Cathedral, San Francisco, from 1995 to 2002. Since then he has been Rector of St. James Church, Kamuela, Hawai'i.

His wife, Jana, is an ordained Presbyterian minister. As she explained to me, there are no Presbyterian churches in Hawai'i, the result of a decision with the Congregationalists years ago. They took the islands and the Presbyterians took Alaska. She looks forward to helping with EICS' many tasks.

Please pray for a safe transition for the Litwinskis, and get ready to welcome them September 1.

Many thanks to the Vestry of St. Augustine's for their hard work, and to Peter Hellbach, Senior Warden.

And a big tip of the miter to the Rev. Mary Ellen Dolan, who has served as Interim Rector since August 2007, and who now heads to All Saints, Waterloo, Belgium, as she is the Convocation's trained interim priest.

All good blessings,

Bishop Pierre
