Friday 2 July 2010 - Lunchtime Concert (13.15)
The choir of Atlanta Young Singers of Callanwolde, USA
will give a concert in Christ Church cathedral on Friday
2 July 2010 at 1.15pm. Founded in 1975, AYS is Atlanta's
premier choir for children and youth from the ages of 7 to 18
years. They are directed by Paige F. Mathis and Virginia M.
Thompson. The choir has travelled extensively throughout
North America and Europe and has performed at prestigious
choral festivals. They will perform a selection of works
including American spirituals, as well as pieces from
Ecuador and Japan. Entrance to the concert is included

Monday 5 July 2010 - Lunchtime Concert (13.15)
Albany Pro Musica, a choir from Albany New York, will
give a lunchtime concert in Christ Church on Monday 5
July 2010 at 1.15pm. The choir, which was founded in 1981,
will perform a selection of music by American composers.
They are directed by David Janower, and will be performing
in Galway and Sligo before finishing their tour with the
recital in Christ Church. Entrance to the recital is included

Sung by the Stamford Bridge Singers.
Smith 'Preces and responses', Stone 'Lord's prayer',
Walmisley in D minor and Wood 'O thou the central orb'.
Organ voluntary, Brewer 'Marche Heroique'.

Sung by the Stamford Bridge Singers.
Setting: Ireland in C with communion motet,
Mudd, 'Let thy merciful ears, O Lord' and concluding 
organ voluntary, Guy Weitz, 'Fanfare and Gothic march'.

Sunday 25 July 2010 - Choral Evensong (15.30)
Sung by Stamford Bridge Singers
Introit: Tye 'O come ye servants of the lord',
Smith 'Preces and responses', Stone 'Lord's prayer',
Stanford in B flat, with motet, Brahms 'How lovely
are thy dwellings fair' and concluding organ voluntary,
Liszt 'Fantasia and fugue on Bach'.

Tuesday 27 July 2010 - Choral Evensong (18.00)
Sung by Surrey Youth Choir.
Responses: Smith 'Preces and responses', with
canticles: Stanford 'Evening Service in C' and
anthem: Moore 'All wisdom cometh from the Lord'.

Wednesday 28 July 2010 - Lunchtime Concert (13.15)
Holy Heart of Mary Alumnae Choir will give a concert at
Christ Church on Wednesday 28 July 2010 at 1.15pm.
The choir, from Newfoundland, Canada, was formed in
1999 and consists of students from the Holy Heart of
Mary Regional High School. The choir is directed by
Dr Valerie Long, an alumnus of the school. Entrance
to the concert is included in admission to the cathedral.
