the grounds of the cathedral today at 5.00pm for the victims
of the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti that has claimed an
estimated 50,000 lives and left over 3 million people in need
of urgent humanitarian assistance. The vigil will allow the Irish
public to come together and show their solidarity for the victims
of the Haitian earthquake. Candles will be provided to all attending,
and the cathedral bells will also ring at 5.15pm. All are welcome.

Tuesday 19 January 2010 - Sung Compline (18.00)
Following the candlelit vigil, the office of Compline to end the day
will be sung by a consort of the cathedral choir. An introit will also
be sung: William Blitheman, 'In Pace' and an anthem will conclude
the service, the rarely heard gem from the Eton choirbook by William
Cornysh, 'Salve Regina'. Again, all are welcome to attend this service.

Friday 22 January 2010 - Irish Ecumenical Service (20.00)
An interdenominational service in Irish will be held on Friday 22

and the choir are from Gaelscoil Chill Dheagláin, Ashbourne, Co Meath.
An altar frontal in memory of Leaslaoi Ó Briain, the former Hon Secretary
of the Guild, who died in 2007, will be dedicated at this service. A
will be held in the crypt after the service. All are most welcome.
