Thursday 7 May 2009 - Mothers' Union Service (11.15)
The Mothers' Union Eucharist takes place at 11.15 on the
morning of Thursday 7 May in the south transept. This chapel
of St Laurence O'Toole (Lorcán Ua Tuathail), was dedicated by
Dean Lewis-Crosby (1938-62) as the Mothers' Union Chapel. For

Friday 15 May 2009 - Dominican Festival Choir Concert (13.15)
The Dominican Festival Choir assembled from all over
the United States of America is directed by preacher and
composer, Father James V. Marchionda, OP. The 65-voice
choir will perform a selection of pieces by Breedlove,
Bridge, Conte, Hassler, Hays/Seeger, Marchionda,
Micchell, Smith, Tye and traditional arrangements.

A service of baptism will take place in
the baptistry at 2.30pm. All welcome.

A service of baptism will take place in
the baptistry at 1.30pm. All welcome.

Sunday 24 May 2009 - Irish Eucharist (17:00)
The eucharist will be said in Irish in the Lady chapel.
This is held on the fourth Sunday each month except
June-July and December at 5.00pm. All are most welcome.

Friday 29 May 2009 - Dublin Orchestra Concert (20.00)
The Dublin Orchestra will give a concert in the cathedral
at 8.00pm featuring tenor, Adam Urosevic, who started his
singing career in the Vienna Boys’ Choir and has since been
awarded a music scholarship at Harrow School in London.
The concert repertoire itself will include Beethoven 'Symphony
No. 5 in C Minor' as well as some of the signature songs of the
late Luciano Pavarotti, mingled into a Viennese theme which
includes works by the 'Waltz King' himself, Johann Strauss.
Tickets are priced at €15 and will be available at the door

Saturday 30 May 2009 - Ottoni Ensemble Concert (13.15)
The award-winning brass quintet, the Ottoni Ensemble will give
a lunchtime concert in the cathedral at 1.15pm on Saturday
30 May. Formed in 1998, it was the first brass group to win the
chamber cup in the Feis Ceoil in 2001, and the first brass ensemble
to perform at the West Cork Chamber Music Festival. Their repertoire
will include arranged and original works by Ball, Barber, Bernstein,
Gabrieli, Horovitz, Kompanek, Scheidt and Vivaldi. Details online at:
