Monday 1 - Tuesday 30 September 2008 - Crypt Exhibition (10.00-17.00)
The crypt features an ongoing exhibition for the summer months
marking the 130th anniversary of the restoration of the cathedral
by G.E. Street. It consists of a remarkable collection of drawings
and photographs showing Street's work in progress. Curated by
Dr Michael O'Neill, the exhibition is supported by the Heritage
Council and a corporate donor. The Irish language body, Colmcille,
have kindly supplied the display boards. While the exhibition is open
to the public, it will be officially opened following evensong on
Saturday 20 September by Professor Roger Stalley of Trinity College.

Monday 8 September 2008 - Spiorad Service (19.00)
Spiorad, a service of Celtic meditation takes place on the second
Monday of the month. It explores the life and ministry of a Celtic
saint as an integral part of each service. All are most welcome.

Friday 19 September 2008 - Culture Night (17.20 - 23.00)
Culture Night returns to the cathedral this year on Friday
19 September. This will include a free tour of the medieval
crypt including the treasury exhibition and the exhibit
celebrating 130 years since the restoration of the cathedral.

Saturday 20 September 2008 - Exhibition opening (18.00)
Following choral evensong, an exhibition entitled: 'Christ Church
Cathedral Dublin, 1878-2008, marking the 130th anniversary of
the restoration of the cathedral, which has been running in the
crypt for the last month, will be officially opened by Professor
Roger Stalley of Trinity College, who has written extensively
on the cathedral. All are most welcome. Details are online at:

Saturday 27 September 2008 - RSCM Evensong (17.00)
On Saturday 27 September, choral evensong will be sung
by the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) Voice for life
medal winners along with the altos, tenors and basses of the
cathedral choir. Canon John Flaherty, administrator of St Mary's
Pro-Cathedral will be in attendance to assist the dean in presenting
award winners with their certificates of achievement. All are most

Sunday 28 September 2008 - Evensong & Installation of Canons (15.30)
The archbishop will install two new canons of Christ Church, Robert
Deane and Mark Gardner (the dean's vicar) on St Michael and All Angels,
Sunday 28 September 2008 at 15.30 during evensong when music
and theology certificates will also be presented. All are most welcome.
