Tuesday 5 June 2007 - Lunchtime Organ Recital (13.15)
As a fundraising venture for Pipeworks, the 2008 Dublin
international organ festival, the artistic director of the festival,
Mark Duley, will give recitals on a marathon 20 cathedral
organs throughout Ireland beginning on Tuesday 5 June at
2.00pm at Christ Church, and ending in St Mary's Pro-Cathedral,
Dublin on Wednesday 13 June at 18.30. For further details, see:

Thursday 7 June - Mothers' Union Eucharist (11.15).
The Mother's Union Eucharist will take place in the chapel of
St Laurence O'Toole (Lorcán Ua Tuathail) in the south transept

eucharist will be celebrated in the Lady chapel at 12.45.

Saturday 9 June - Evening Concert (20.00)
The Dublin Symphony Orchestra, who celebrate
their fortieth anniversary this year, will give an evening
concert at 8.00pm at the cathedral on Saturday 9 June.
Conducted by Ciarán Crilly, with orchestral leader, Aveen
O'Reilly, the programme will include Borodin 'In the Steppes
of Central Asia', Vaughan Williams 'Fantasia on a Theme by
Thomas Tallis', Mendelssohn 'The Hebrides, Op. 26 (Fingal’s
Cave)' and Dvorvák 'Symphony No. 8 in G major, Op. 88'.

Saturday 16 June - Lunchtime Concert (13.15)
'Belle Voci', a group of singing students from the
cathedral girls' choir and their friends present a:
'Music for a Summer Afternoon', which will feature
madrigals, lieder, folksongs, ariettas, chansons,
sacred duets and trios by Constantini, Handel,
Schumann, Mozart, Kodaly, Mendelssohn and more
on Saturday 16 June 2007 at 1.15pm in the cathedral
song school (entrance through the Chapter House door)
Admission 8 euro in aid of the girls' forthcoming trip to

Saturday 23 June - Lunchtime Concert (13.15)
Soprano, Vivienne Hassell, will give a lunchtime recital
as part of the cathedral's summer recital series. A former
lay vicar choral at the cathedral, Vivienne has sung with
the Lassus Scholars, with whom she is a regular soloist.
She studies the operatic repertory with Dr Veronica Dunne.
