A Passiontide Meditation of music and readings
for Holy Week will take place at 7.00pm with the
combined cathedral and girls' choirs of Christ Church
and of St Patrick's cathedrals.

Maundy Thursday 24 March 2005 - Chrism Eucharist (12.00)
As part of the Maundy Thursday services, at noon the
diocesan clergy gather with the archbishop to renew
their ordination vows and to share in the blessing of
the oil of healing for distribution throughout the dioceses.

Maundy Thursday 24 March 2005 -  Liturgy of the Lord's Supper (18.00)
The Cathedral Eucharist and Liturgy of the Lord’s Supper will include
Walton 'Missa Brevis', Duruflé 'Ubi caritas'
and Tallis 'O sacrum convivium'.

will take place at 9.00pm. The setting will be Briggs 'Truro
Eucharist', and also Vaughan Williams 'Let all the world'
and Elgar 'Light out of darkness'.

The choir is on half term from Monday 28 March and services will
be sung by visiting choirs, which on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April
will be the Lydian Singers. We are very grateful for their assistance.

Monday 28 March 2005 - Lunchtime concert (13.15)
The American high school choir, the Chugiak choir
will give a lunchtime concert at 1.15pm and will
perform from its reportoire for female voices,
mens voices, and its concert choir. The choir is
directed by Ron Lange. All welcome and admission

Saturday 16 April 2005 - Lecture on Swedish Church (11.00)
A public lecture organised by the Dublin Council of Churches
and the Roman Catholic Dublin Diocesan Advisory Committee
on Ecumenism and hosted by the dean of Christ Church,
the Very Revd Desmond Harman will be give by The Right
Reverend Dr Martin Lind, Bishop in the Diocese of Linköping
in the Church of Sweden entitled 'Longing for Belonging:
Some words from the Swedish Scene' which will look at its
recently disestablished church.
The lecture will take place at 11.00 in the chapter room of
Christ Church. Admission is free and all are most welcome.
