The archbishop will commission a number of lay readers
at this Sunday's service of evensong. Rose responses,
Wood in F (Collegium Regale) and Howells 'Long, long ago'.

Plainsong responses, Dyson in C minor

Monday 17 January 2005 - Lunchtime Concert (13.15)
Sung by the choir of Loreto Mandeville Hall, a girls school
in Toorak, Melbourne, Australia. The choir will sing works
by Leo Delibes and John Willcocks, while the clarinet
ensemble will perform excerpts from a Serenade by Mozart.
A brass ensemble will perform Mendelssohn, while other
works performed will include Sibelius and Saint-Saëns.

Friday 21 January 2005 - Ecumenical Irish Service (20.00)
An ecumenical service in Irish will be held at the cathedral on
Friday 21 January 2005 at 8.00p.m. during the Octave for Christian
Unity. This interdenominational service will consist of prayer and music
through Irish under the title of 'Christ, the One Foundation of the Church'.
The preacher will be the Revd Clodagh Yambasu and refreshments will
be served afterwards in the crypt when the treasury can be viewed.
