Christ Church Cathedral choir tonight perform their Christmas concert
entitled 'From Messiah to Mistletoe', which is also the second of a
series of three fund-raising concerts in aid of its tour to the USA
in February 2006. The concert, starting at 8.00pm in the cathedral
will feature seasonal favourites old and new, just the thing for getting
into the Christmas spirit! Tickets available at the door: €15 and €10
euro (concessions). The concert will also mark the debut of the recently
acquired Petrof concert grand piano which will enormously enrich the
cathedral as a Dublin venue for concerts and recitals.

In addition, the archbishop of Dublin, the Most Revd John Neill, will
launch a new choir CD, the first in a series entitled 'Live at Christ
Church', which selects highlights from sung services at the cathedral
all of which are now recorded with state-of-the-art equipment kindly
funded by the Friends of Christ Church. Digital editing and mastering
has been done in-house by the cathedral's music department.
The launch price will be €10 (euro).
