The Bartimaeus Program for Visually Impaired People
St. Luke's Program for Children with Special Needs
Our school works very hard to serve and educate visually impaired people and children with special needs, that they may live a happy, righteous, and productive life. We prepare our students to be self-reliant, educated, and fully integrated in society. We also aim to educate and inform our community that disabled people must be treated with equality. Cities and towns must provide them with safe environments. They have the right to a dignified life and must be provided with job opportunities. We honor and respect all religions, and we proclaim the living faith of our risen Lord: Jesus Christ.

BLESSED
Our school was known from 1868 until 2001 as the Lebanese Evangelical School for the Blind. It was founded by dedicated Christian missionaries and was the first school for blind people in the Middle East. The academic year 2001/2002 brought a major change in our program. We extended our ministry to mentally challenged children. This was a wonderful development that brought us great blessings. Our school belongs to the Lebanese Evangelical Society which endeavors to proclaim the gospel of our loving Lord through the ministry of education, publication, and care for people with special needs.
